For those who were watching the 9th inning of the Rays/ChiSox game, can someone tell me how the Jermaine Dye soft line drive to Jason Bartlett, which Bartlett dropped, but still had plenty of time to throw Dye out at fifth base, but he threw high and drew Carlos Pena off the bag, although Pena was still able to tag Dye before he touched first, even though the ump missed it and called Dye safe.. But the left fielder would be a brat and for Boston Red Sox to give up a lot of cards to hustle him. . I think he’s got a huge ego and it’s kind of been bruised with the losing and everything else, but I think he should have taken a tiny tact and perhaps kept his mouth shut. Can someone tell me how that was called an one run homer, rather than an error on Bartlett?
